Four years since general availability? That's not long for what must be Microsoft's best operating system (unless you're an MS-DOS fanatic.)

Perhaps, but the versions after are better.... Even if you disagree with my statement because of the obvious; Windows 9 will be sure to please most people anyway who didn't like the one before.

End of support seems a little too soon afterwards. They better produce a superior product than 8 or 8.1 with 9 or many users may defect to other O/S's.

Changing from XP on a desktop to 8.1 on a laptop wasn't too bad, 8.1 OK for what I want from an OS, everyone else might have other needs though tongue
Looked at Apple machines but too expensive for my needs and I guess for a lot of other people too!
