MS Office 2010 on Windows 10

[link to this post]

I bought a 3-PC version of MS Office 2010 on CD last year. Iíve only used it on two systems so far. Iím wondering whether this version of Office is compatible with Windows 10. Anybody know?

Although it is listed somewhere as being incompatible Office 2003 still works fine on Win 8 (certainly for most people), so I suspect there will be no problem.

Thanks for your input smile

I shall not be upgrading from Win 7 (I use Win 8.1 on current systems and will buy a new Win 10 laptop) but I found this guide somewhat helpful:

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows/preview-f...

If most apps from the Win 7 era will function with Win 10 then MS Office 2010 ought to be OK.

Office 97 will install and run on Windows 7. I've upgraded to Office 2013, though.

How on earth can a office suit not work on a later OS?
Is this MS way of making people buy it again or to get them to go for the subscription service?

This is the problem with mo competition, not like it was a few years back when we had Lotus and word perfect.
MS office seems to be getting more bloated now than ever.

The same reason any old application will not probably work on any new OS.

My Pinnacle Studio 8 wouldn't install on W7 so had to upgrade/update (whichever) to Studio14.

I know it's not an MS office on an MS OS but similar scenario.
