Safari nearly messed up by flash player update

[link to this post]

My computer seems to be infected. Some windows containing s.admathhd in domains keep popping up and asking me to download Flash Player. I'm sure I have updated the player in the system. Google lists some posts like this one describing the unknown program as a malicious adware. I've tried a few antivirus tools but Safari still caught ads. What should I do now?
Thanks for any idea!

Have you tried the free version of Malwarebytes? I run it every month or so, just let it update itself at the time.

It can pick up stuff that has got through your normal firewall and anti-virus system. Which is?

The indispensable man or woman passes from the scene, and what happens next is more or less the same thing as was happening before.
