Anyone use this little utility? My SSD says Good Health (64%) anyone know what the 64% means as it doesnt show up on my spinny disks, just says good health?

It is the percentage of life left for your drive. If you look at the data down below you will see SSD life left and it shows the same number.

So it does, blimey that was quick had the drive less than a year, its not showing any reallocated sectors.

That is not good, my Corsair force 3 120GB is 3 years old and have 97% of life left. You are not defraging it are you?

What drive have you got?

I hvae the Corsair force 3 as above and a Corsair Neutron XT 240GB.

No defragging windows 10 has correctly trimmed it, its a crucial mx200 500gb. I run a backup everyday but thats reading not writing.

Are you backing up every day because it is changing a lot?

However, it could just be the way it is measuring. Without an measurement from when the drive was new it is impossible to project life span. What you probably need to do is to monitor the drive monthly over the next 6 months and see what the progression is - it may not change at all in which case it would have years of service but if the percentage goes down rapidly then it could be that it has an inherent problem.

Effectively yes I dont trust it although it could be an algorithm error but apparently its linked to the amount of erases and data written which dont particularly seem too large.

Looking at the corsair force le 480gb ssd on ebuyer is about the same price as the crucial drive also with a 3 year warranty.

If you could find the hynix SL308 it comes in 250/500/1000

i would get that
