redraw internet

[link to this post]

I live in a tiny village 6 miles north of Bedford and get just over 1 Mbps from 3 Km of copper wire to a small exchange without fibre.
So I was pleased to hear of redraw in my area. We're now connected via a 5 GHz link and get ~15Mbps down synchronous.
See:

Anybody else use redraw? I hope I'm in the correct forum. All comments welcome

Hi zyborg

Thanks for your reply; prices are at:

Do you have a similar problem?

Had you heard before of redraw internet?

I think they must be swamped with orders as they're not the quickest to reply!

Please let me know how you get on if you proceed with redraw

Nick

Never heard of Redraw internet before, but another ISP that can give people in Rural areas a decent service is great.

I don't have the same problem, I can get ADSL and FTTC, but I choose a local wireless service which works something like Redraw. Ok we had no FTTC when I first went with my ISP, but Bt kept moving the date and I wanted something a bit better than the unreliable 3-4Mb/s i had with ADSL.

I am using a company call AllPay, the service is good, the problem is it is the price. for a few quid more I can now get FTTc at around 10 times faster and a phone line, but to do that I would have to use Bt or Talk Talk, neither companies I would give the time of day for.

i got another 12 months contract to run with Allpay and i will see what happens after that, but at the moment I think I will stay as I am even after the contract is up.

good luck with your service.
