A Quick Tour of our Headquarters

[link to this post]

Noticed the video of Zens head quarters on their website, very imressive.

http://www.zen.co.uk/about-us/our-headquarters.aspx

Hows about a behind the scenes tour of the data centres?!

A man after my own heart there!

That video has been up a fair while.

While yes it would be cool to see the inside of the DC at Zen along with the NOC I doubt they would post a video due to security concerns as its choc full of expensive kit and they don't really want to invite thieves to try and break in which I can understand.

In a similar vein though I would like to know a bit more about the routers and switches used in the network.

This site http://www.datacenterknowledge.com is quite interesting though

I believe the (admittedly quite small) photos on this page: http://www.zen.co.uk/business/hosting-and-domains/co... are from inside the data centre

For those that missed it the information in that video is now a little outdated.

http://www.zen.co.uk/latest-news.aspx?page=11177 is worth a look over as its details on our new data centre build.

Cheers, any chance of info on the routers and switches?

Just out of geeky curiosity.

You might find this page of interest

http://www.zen.co.uk/about-us/our-network.aspx

No specifics on routers and switches but it does give you some background info.

Funny you should mention the network topology diagram.

That was one of the first things I looked at when I was thinking about signing up with Zen a couple of years back and played a part in my decision to sign up.

Still would be really interesting to know a bit more about the kit that powers the excellent service but I do understand why Zen maybe reluctant to release such info.
