Reseting Profile?

I had Fibre installed last Friday and since then the sync speed has dropped every day. Starting at 80mbs and currently at 60mbs.

Now, this is my fault as we were decorating and had two powercuts and various moving things around so the modem got disconnected multiple times and looking at my profile the speed got downgraded after each one. Very good for auto-learning hardware, very annoying when it isn't a sync drop but a physical disconnection.

Can I get the 'learning' profile reset? The line is capable if nearly full speed and it is irritating to be capped so early on (rock steady 20mbs with BE* and very very close to cabinet with BT estimate of 80mbs).

I'm surprised you didn't just turn the modem off and turn it on once you had finished.
It's just a matter of waiting for the IP profile to rise - probably within a couple of days.
It's a much longer wait for the BRAS profile however.

Well .... I had to work as well. And the power cuts weren't planned smile

I will give it until after Christmas and see if it has improved.

As a slightly late Christmas present my profile changed to 80mb again this morning.

I guess the equipment in the exchange saw no disconnections for the last week.
