Does Zen offer Annex M?

[link to this post]

I need to find an alternative to BE before it becomes fully Sky (who haven't been forthcoming with info about what they plan to offer me as a service when the move to their network happens, if it does at all).

On BE I've got Annex M for faster uploads and live very near to the exchange. It doesn't seem like Zen offer this though, from what I can see on the website? Maximum speed I've seen quoted in the package features is 1Mbps upload.

Good Morning,

I'm afraid we don't offer Annex M, Is there no FTTC available for your line.

Kind Regards

Out in the fens you're quite lucky if your head is above water, let alone having a fibre-enabled cabinet within several day's march wink

Thank you for your reply - is there any specific reason why Annex M isn't offered by Zen?

Unfortunately no FTTC here yet, although it is due within the next 2 years to the area. If I'll be able to get it though, being connected directly to the exchange, I don't know.

Hi,

As a company it was decided that we would focus all our time and resources on FTTC as this will cover what Annex M can achieve in FTTC enabled area's.

However we do understand that there are still many people that can't receive FTTC so it is something that was re-considered recently but the time and resource it would take for Zen to set themselves up to accept Annex M orders it would become un-viable in the long term.

I'm sorry that I've been unable to offer any further explanation at this time.

Kind Regards
