No Internet this morning??

About 45 mins ago, my Zen line went down. The Internet Green LED on the router is out.

Investigating it seems Zen is unreachable and the router won't log-in. I have the router sent to connect to a Static IP (my Zen WAN Static IP address). If I delete that line from the router and reboot, the green LED light goes on; but I still get no Internet connectivity. The router appears to have logged into:

IP: 172.20.212.213
Primary DNS: 62.6.38.125
Sec DNS: 62.6.38.125

This happened once before and I was told by Zen Support that the router was logging in to BT Internet and that I should set my router to request my Zen static IP address; which is how it has been configured since.

This morning however the router just won't log in to Zen?

Any ideas? I can't see anything amiss on the Zen Internet Status page.

Hi,

I have the same problem. I'm on the Zen Fibre (FTTC) product and my OpenReach modem is lit up as normal and has been rebooted, and my Apple Airport Express which is connected to it using PPPoE is working normally but is no longer getting one of my static addresses but instead is getting a 172.x.y.z. address and is not routing to the internet.

Thanks for the link. Tried ringing Zen Tech Support but they are fairly busy!

I've not bothered ringing them but will do so if I'm not back up and running in a couple of hours. On the upside, this is the first outage I've had since getting FTTC which was on hogmanay 2012 almost 16 months ago. In fact my first instinct was to ask my wife if she had unplugged something (again) so I'm now in the bad books... I'll amuse myself by making my own lunch while I wait for the line to come back up... smile
