FTTP - 330/20 not 330/30

[link to this post]

It looks like I'll be setting up a system at a site which has FTTP available. The checker currently shows;

WBC FTTP Up to 330 Up to 30 -- Available

Our records show the following FTTP network service information for these premises:- Multi Dwelling Unit Residential UG Feed with no anticipated issues.
The Zen FTTP product is only listed as 330/20 - Unlimited Fibre Office 3 (FTTP).

It'll be for business use and the extra 10 up would be helpful as I'm planning to put in a point-to-point VPN for file sharing and remote backup.

Is there any reason Zen only offers 330/20?

Sarah

I think its a typo on Zen's website, ie it should show 330/30. Why not get in touch with them for clarification?

Btw Openreach will soon announce a new speed tier on FTTP, 330/50, most likely once G.INP is officially available - in order to align both products. Whether the 330/50 on FTTP will replace the 330/30 or is an additional tier remains to be seen, I suspect its the former.
