Planned engineering works - Full outage

Why?

No reason given - just says Maintenance Reference: PW128904027 6 Hours

It is not the BT exchange because my A&A connection is OK - although I am using EE mobile to post this.

Is it really going to be six hours?

EDIT: OK. It came back up whilst I was looking to see what it was - and then posting this.

My router reconnected after 10 minutes - and my TBB Quality graph confirms that

Out of curiosity, are you in East Anglia? We had a maintenance notification for work affecting all our ethernet and DSL circuits in that area last night, and the actual downtime ties in with your message time.

The normal PEW window is from midnight to 0600. Work can start at any time but should be completed within that time slot.
There is a program to replace/upgrade many headend links. This maybe what occurred to your connection.

No. West Lancashire.

It went off again for a short while just before 2am, but has been good since.
