Having given credit card details on sign up for BYW option 1, I could have sworn it said something about the

Hi,

I moved from pipex and signed up to the same deal as you.

Plus net will take the 1st payment in full and then refund you within 14 days under part 3 of the terms below (Having said that I'm a month in now and haven't had my refund, Plus have told me today I have to wait until I've been signed for 90 days but that's not what the terms say):-

Terms and Conditions for the Free Month Offer
PlusNet are offering one month's free service to customers who are migrating from another broadband provider.

1. The offer is only available on migrations to residential broadband accounts, registered on or after 13th July 2007. Customers taking up the offer may also choose to get a free month of Home Phone service.

2. The closing date of this offer is 31st October 2007.

3. Customers taking up the offer will pay for their first month and then have this payment refunded within 14 days of activation. Refunds will be made, where possible, to the bank account if there is an active Direct Debit. All other payments will be made by cheque (we cannot refund to credit cards for this offer).

Ah well, I signed up on the 9th Nov, so am outside the end date mentioned in your post, but I do remember seeing something about "have this payment refunded" relating to the c/card payment during sign-up.

Fair enough, then you probably have different terms to me.

I would suggest just contact Plus, they are always very quick at replying.

Regards.

Funnily enough, the 1st month free offer is showing when I log-on to the members area. Checked the t+c's, and it still is stating, "2. The closing date of this offer is 31st October 2007."

It must be extended assuming what I saw on signing-up is related.

As you say this shows closing date but initial link shows it still available.

Needs clarification.
