Smooth transition

Thanks to Plusnet for a (so far) smooth transition from Orange. Thanks, also, to Orange for a prompt MAC address - 5 working days met by the end of the 5th working day.

I asked for the transfer to happen today (gave about 8 days notice as I figured it might help) and late afternoon my wife rang me to say the Internet had "stopped working!".

When I got home, I popped the new plusnet credentials into the router and instantly got my new plusnet connection.

Better than I ever dared hope - a simple trouble free migration. Seemed almost impossible given my experience in the field and the comments of users on this forum, but miracles can happen !

In fairness, in the past we had trouble with the last mile of line, and just before I got freeserve/wanadoo/orange broadband, we got the physical line problems ironed out by BT, so at least the connection has generally been stable, but over the past 5 years freeserve/wanadoo/orange just got dearer and dearer and slower and slower when market economy changes said the reverse should happen.

And so far, so faster and way way cheaper.

Keep it up plusnet and I will love you forever.
