Spam email

[link to this post]

Using the current webmail, what does the SPAM button do?

I have just gone to my inbox and there were 94 emails, 91 were spam so I selected all emails, unselected the 3 real emails and pressed the SPAM button - then I reselected all emails, unselected the 3 real emails and pressed the DELETE button.

Can the SPAM button, not delete as well, I can't think of any reason why I would want to keep email that has been marked as spam.

Do I just need to mark email as spam and it will be automatically deleted at some point?

Unfortunately that functionality wasn't built into the tool, it simply forwards a copy of the selected email to the spam platform for training purposes.

At present there are a number of other items in the development hopper that are of higher priority than this, but as soon as these are cleared out and we have the development time we will investigate possible improvements - either deletion or a move to the inbox.SPAM folder (assuming this is possible).
