How many people have taken advantage of this offer?

If not, why did you choose not to?

The thought of being locked into another 12 month contract does worry me slightly and i'm still debating whether to or not, plusnet have been a bit sneaky in the past regarding the service... I had terrible problems about 10 months ago regarding BB speeds with simple web browsing - performed every test imaginable at my inconvenience when in fact plusnet had applied crippling restrictions which they didn't admit to in any correspondence with them.

I doubt that would be repeated, especially since PN are now owned by BT.

Having said that I would never consider a 12 month contract.

I was quite happy to take up this offer based on my, more recent, experiences with PlusNet.

i'm still debating whether to or not (take discount for 12 month contract)

I did after thinking about the practical likelyhood that I might want to leave in the next year.

BTW... didn't the offer close on the 9th Dec?

I think it varies from person to person possibly depending on when they sent out the email - deadline for mine was 24th Nov. It might even link to a couple of days before your billing date? It was for mine.

Mine was sent out on 24/10/07
and says "Hurry, the offer ends on 24th November 2007"

My billing date is the 8/9th (They seem to have brought it forward a day recently)... so it doesnt appear to be tied in with that.

Theres also another thread discussing it here
http://bbs.adslguide.org.uk/showthreaded.php?Cat=&Board=plusnet&Number=3190341

I chose not to take them up on it - I like being on a 1 month contract - hence why I paid the extra

Ah well - that blows that theory out of the water. Seeing as it was based on a sample of one it was quite likely to be wrong!
