PN Telephone Service

[link to this post]

The PN telephone service looks good value. Does anyone use it
and are there any catches I need to know about?

Hi there,

If it helps, I have this at home (and pay for it). I've never had a single issue with it since I started using Home Phone about a year ago.

I don't think there's any catches that you will need to look out for if it is merely a change in provider. There are associated fees with providing a new telephone service though (for example if you were to move house).

I assume he means fees, not sure how he hit the 'w' though!

I guessed that... hopefully he'll come back and take the P?*@ out of his own post.

I think he's nipped to the toilet :-)

I guess the only thing worth highlighting in the interest of completeness is that on some packages, BT include a couple of the call features you might need to pay for with our service - http://www.plus.net/residential/phonecalls/home/homephone_features.shtml has details.

Thanks for the useful suggestions.
At present I'm on BT option 1 (evenings/weekend connect charge)
and use Voipcheap.com for daytime calls. Not sure there is that much in
it with a couple of extras too.

The real fly in the ointment though is that BT make an additional charge
for not paying by DD. This is particularly irritating as I pay in full and on
time but just like to know how much I am paying.......

I pay by quarterly DD so bill is paid in full 14 days after it's compiled - one still gets DD reductions.
