I've just tested from here using my account and can send fine.

Are you currently connected through a PN connection?
What's the full error you are receiving?
What's the email addresss you are sending from? (PM me this one)

The above post has been made by an ISP REPRESENTATIVE (although not necessarily the ISP being discussed in the post).

Would you be able to PM me the full bounced email with headers? I can have a look through them and see if anything suspect is going on.

I am struggling to get headers as view options is not available in that message

It IS available in normal received emails

Its one of those system emails that has a button to resend the original email

I use Outlook 2003

This might explain something

C:\telnet relay.plus.net
Connecting To relay.plus.net...Could not open connection to the host, on port 23
: Connect failed

Seems to be a problem connecting

try telnet relay.plus.net 25 since smtp is port 25 not 23.

Youre right scary I can connect, but when I get to

RCPT TO:[email protected]
550 relay not permitted

So it is not letting me send

are you connected on a Plusnet account or through a different ISP (work etc?) If it is a PN account, it might be worth PM one of the reps with you IP address in case you are on a new IP range that is missing from the valid ranges (no idea if PN have released a new range but this would make sense for SMTP relay error messages).
