Speedtouch 330 or Plusnet's 'Free' Wireless Router

Having finally made up my mind to switch to Plusnet (and eventually received my MAC key via snail mail from Pipex!!) I'm just wondering whether it would be a prudent option to take their modem over my existing Speedtouch 330.

Logically the router should be better than my now 5 year old Speedtouch 330, but then that's not always the case with such things.

I suppiose the argument could be that I won't get the best out of Plusnet with an old modem.

Any recommendations?

I would take it as it never harms to have a spare router handy.

My Pipex/Tiscali inspired nightmare is now rapidly drawing to a close as I have signed up for Plusnet this evening.
