Thankyou Plusnet!

It is said that the main reason that people post on forums such as this one is to complain. Until very recently I ranked myself among the complainers too.

After just over a fortnight of mental torture at the hands of Pipex/Tiscali, I bit the bullet and applied to join Plusnet, at 22:30 on Sunday 3rd Feb 08. Less than four days later at 08:00 on Thursday 7th Feb, my new Plusnet account had been activated and with it the Pipex/Tiscali nightmare ended.

The average download I managed with Pipex/Tiscali - on the rare occasions when the line remained stable - was in the order of 1100kbps, whilst the absolute minimum with Plusnet has been 1940kbps. That was of course until today, when the download speed effectively doubled overnight to a much more respectable 3952.40kbps and upload 376.63kbps....

I was also particularly impressed at being able to contact Plusnet Support for some advice on setting up my new router last Sunday afternoon, which again would have been impossible with Pipex/Tiscali.

So suffice to say that I am very impressed with Plusnet, and and would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone who appreciates good old fashioned customer service.
