Broken?
You mean down for an hour?

No, not down for an hour, broken. The server side includes have stopped working.

It says their platform so you'd assume it includes server side.

Well I discovered a long time ago that Plusnet do not place a massive priority on their residential hosting infrastructure. Stopped using a forum a long time back due to speed issues and the like.
If one has a site which requires 24/7 up time, one should make alternative plans.

After doing all I could last night to get someone to look at it, within 15 minutes of someone from the Digital Care team seeing a message about it the problem has been fixed.
Thanks to Chris and Bob

The Apache upgrade has been rolled back now due to some other problems we've come across. I'll post to our Service Status feed when we're due to roll it again...

Heads up that we upgraded the first of the six servers again yesterday afternoon.
|
|
|
What a surprise they've messed up again and websites are only working intermittently

Last week they backed out the changes that broke websites. They've done extensive testing and today attempted the upgrade again with if anything worse consequences than last time!

Thanks to Matt Taylor (orbrey) of Digital Care the a problem was raised and the affected servers have apparently been taken out of the load balancers.
Website pages now appear to be being served correctly.

Hi all,
There'll be a service status posted shortly but this afternoon we'll be putting those servers back into the loop (they're tested and fixed now) and finishing off the upgrades. We'll be keeping an eye out for any issues both internally and out here.
