Refer a friend free broadband problem.

[link to this post]

I just signed up to plusnet on behalf of a friend of mine intending to get the 3 months free broadband offer if I referred a friend. I did the sign up process and entered my username under the referral bit but dont remember it asking me for the promotional code refer3 so subsquently didnt enter it. Is there any way I can cancel the account and redo it and if so could someone tell me where to enter the promotional code?

Many Thanks.

Hi Footys,

It should be fine to raise a ticket on your account advising of the referral you've made, and if your referral can raise a ticket as well confirming then we can sort the offer from there. Please bear in mind though it won't take effect until their broadband goes active.

Hi Orbrey

I raised a ticket on both accounts but have now had a reply on both saying that I need to raise a ticket on the other account!!!

Could you have a look into it for me?

I will pm you both the usernames

I suggest you reply to both tickets cross referring the ticket numbers.

ok I will get the mother-in-law to sign upto someone else poss come over to be with me,as been through the process twice now and there is nowhere to input the 'refer3' code, raising tickets sounds like could be a lot of messing about.

Hi there,

To get the option to enter a promo code you need to sign up via a promotional page (ie, a special offer link or an affiliate).

For the referral offer the link is http://plus.net/refer

I've just tested this, and it definitely works. smile
