Plusnet extra couple of questions chaps

Just going to migrate away from o2 20mg and looking at bethere value

But wanted to ask a few questions on the plusnet extra @11.49 p/m

What are the TM likes for torrents,i can live with the 60GB as do about 50gb a month torrenting/bbciplayer/youtube and the odd xbox game demo.,how much will speed be affected here,,?what is the latency like for gaming as i like the odd COD match,anyone in the manchester area could give an idea.

Is plusnet LLU?

maybe i should consider going over to a 1 month contract,i notice my old 585v6 isnt listed on there site,would it work,it did have the standard FW on it,but i flashed it to be's,i can always flash it back though.

they estimate a speed of 6mb only,,and a maybe between 4mb - 8mb.seems preety low,as i sync at 10mb/1mb now on o2 with a down att of 35.5.

Plusnet are owned by BT (albeit they operate as a separate unit) and therefore do not use LLU.

You're lucky with the exchange having a good range of LLU providers so there is little point looking at ISPs who use BT's IP stream network.
BT's DLM and IP profiles can be a nightmare if your line is subject to loss of sync with the exchange from time to time especially if they become frequent due to any line issues.

Plusnet don't have any LLU based products and there are issues for some but not all customers going onto 21CN and PN's ADSL2+ packages, saying that I'm sure things will improve sooner rather than later.

Ive had a rethink and im just going to go into bethere,,im trying to cut corners and save money.

providing the cashback tracks ok it will be a monthly spend of £10.75ish,,no reason for the cashback not to track as ive had it 3 times now with be signing friends family up.
