Hmmm, here it says pro is still managed but here it says line speed 24/7.

I believe it is managed to the extent that if there are several users on the same connection someone can't cripple time sensitive activities

It is managed in that it isn't set at the highest priority, but the only traffic prioritised above Gold is the time sensitive stuff that isn't bandwidth intensive. The gold traffic on Pro does come down at line speed but we have to say it's managed because it's not given priority over everything.

So why do you troll about BT's unlimited one for 25 quid?

I suspect because the BT product, while "unlimited", continues to hide the details of the traffic management that gets applied.

Plusnet, on the other hand, are totally up front about their traffic management.

So when there is a combination of Plusnet products that you can buy, that has both a documented unlimited component *and* a documented "no traffic management" component (*), it's worth at least considering.

(*) - that's no rate limiting, but the traffic still has to follow prioritisation rules. And there's still management going on in the event of something biblical happening.

Not much to tell on the BT one. They try to target bit torrent ports and even then it's variable. Some days yes, some no.

Thats about the extent of it...at least the extent of that which you can actually see or that has any discernible effect.
