Am I right in thinking that "Value" doesn't have any email addresses as part of the package?

Nope
It is included as standard with all products but I haven't managed to find a reference
However if you don't request one during signup then you need to follow the instructions here https://www.plus.net/support/email/common_questions....

I'm sure I've read in a PN email that an email address was setup but I can't find it now. However when I go to the "manage my mail" link from a recent email I get a message,
"If you are an existing customer
Unfortunately, this feature is not available with your current account. To raise any queries and to upgrade your account, please use the Contact Us tool here at the Portal
If you have recently joined PlusNet
It may take up to 30 minutes until you can access this feature of your account. Please try again later."

I seem to remember something odd recently where it had to be enabled as, if it wasn't requested when the account was setup, you couldn't do it via Manage my Mail
If you wait until tomorrow I am sure it will be picked up

Thanks for that. It would have been helpfull if it was possible to view all email addresses attached to an account. I've attempted to set one up, but as the new broadband and new laptop is a christmas present from my mate to his wife, I'll not be able to check it's working until after New Year.

Hi wingco1,
I believe the message you quote is what's received when no mailboxes have been created, as Jim says. If you've now added one it'll take a couple of hours or so to be created, once that's done you should be able to use the Manage My Mail page as normal. Please let us know if that's not the case, if you could advise of a username or ticket we'll be happy to take a look and see if we can sort it for you.

Hi Matt, thanks for picking this up. I maanaged to access the manage my mail last night and attempted to create an email address. No confirmation was displayed so I assume it didn't work. I'll pm you thanks.
