Pricing

I have been told that the £70 one off then £20 a month package will be reduced at signup. Presumably to £67 with £17 a month.

They seem to have done a good job of trying to simplify things, but then go and make it complicated again.

I'd like to port my existing phone number, but this seems to be asking too much, so is VOIP the way to go with this? £20 plus VAT one off then £2 plus VAT a month.

The £3 a month for 12 months? saving (£36) would just about pay for £24 plus 12 x £2.40 costs of the VOIP number but what then would you do with the extra plusnet number?

I certainly think there is a market for someone to offer a simple package, but 'spose it will never happen as ISPs presumably make their money from people ignorance?

Are you on Virgin or PlusNet ?

Unless your BB is on Virgin cable, you CAN NOT give up your phone line, and as I think you already know, some numbers can't be transferred.
Sipgate VoIP is has NO RENTAL, you just pay for calls, quite cheap. ( calls to other Sipgate or Gradwell VoIP are free).

If you are unhappy with the PlusNet pricing, find a similar product bundle from someone else, even BT, and they will match it.
I save nearly £6 p.m. that way !

I was reading that in another thread. I'm not unhappy with the pricing, just the way it is "hidden".

Just to clarify my current line is a VM cable one.
