FTTC 80/20 trial open

I just noticed the latest 80/20 trial is now open, see http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,1027... register at trials.plus.net

Done, in only matter of hours after registering. Not sure about the upload figure from TBB, got 15.76 on speedtest.net.

The BT tester is actually "working" again for me today, but the download speeds it is reporting are rubbish, as low as 8 meg, upload comes in at about 16 meg.

I have seen the topic in the pLusnet Community Forum & can only guess what the higher speed stats would look like.

I wonder if anyone on the 80/20 trial would be interested in posting either their connection graphs or a link to a log file for someone else to graph?

I wonder if you need to use the FTTP version, to cope with the higher speed?

It is cut down unfortunately, my usual uploader seems to not want to play ball today.

This is *just* 80/20, with a max attainable of 84, but the CRC error rate makes me think I'll get a little interleaving added later.

BTW, had you noticed this near the top of GRAPH6.BAT:-

SET BITS_RES=LOW
SET SNR_RES=LOW
SET QLN_RES=LOW
SET Hlog_RES=LOW

& lower down in :Bits_GNP, this:-
echo set terminal png font "arial, 52" size 4372,3279 > bits.gnp

Your graphs look like the new version, but I don't think some of the above was included in the first couple of uploads.


Have you had a dabble with the "other" ongoing graph set yet?
