New Product signup

[link to this post]

If Bob or someone could answer I'd be very grateful.

My Billing date is 21st Dec and I'm really eager to signup for the new unlimited package. Is that something i can do tomorrow morning as soon as website is updated? I assume the package would update on my billing date?

Thanks

Once the website is updated and the products released, you'll be able to use the normal product change tool on our website to request it. This would happen on your next billing date.

It should be up from around 7am, if for any reason there are any issues we'll update our service status page.

7am will be heavily signing up or otherwise the site will crashed down - is there any restrict request per day for to sign up ? Will the system cope with it ?

Considering how small a proportion of the user base are even aware of it the answer has to be no problems are expected

In reply to a post by Oldjim:

....added to those (like me) who know about it but are still wondering how they are going to get anywhere near their 60Gb allowance and therefore aren't bothered, the proportion becomes even smaller.

hmm - on the other hand I've got both kids home from uni tomorrow, maybe I do need to rethink....

And if you sign for 12 months Unlimited is £2 per month cheaper than now. Non-contract would be silly. Your billing date is?

28th. I'm only 1 month into my 3 month introductory offer (non contract, Market 1), so at the moment cost seems to be the same. On third thoughts maybe wise not to rock the boat at the moment; main reason I joined Plusnet was to get onto the FTTP trial as soon as it's available here. BTO have been saying "soon" for nearly a year now, but just after my previous post I noticed the fibre cable has today been run up to the top of the pole outside my house, so I'm hoping that this really is "it"

Even those that are aware aren't always going to go for it either.

250GB is far too much for us already, and I have no desire to tie us into a new 18 month contract when we've just finished the current one. That's not because I have problem with Plusnet though, just that we might move.

The only plausible downside (to not signing-up soon) is that Plusnet might, just might, withdraw the product because they suffer too many ill effects, or it proves to be too costly to them.
