Switching from O2 LLU bb/home phone and keeping phone number

We would like to switch from O2 broadband and home phone to Plusnet, however we would very much like to keep our home phone number, which was initially a BT number, and then transferred to O2 last year. If we switch to Plusnet, it there any way that we can arrange for our home phone number to be transferred also? I know that if our number was still on BT it would be fine, but since its not, is it another matter?

Well i would of thought that you should not have any issues regarding loss of your number, as o2 landline is a resold bt product (WLR3 ) & not Full LLU,
And plusnet is the same WLR3 again,But uses WBC From BT for xDSL not llu

As tommy says, there should be no problem. It isn't the same as if you had been on Sky or TalkTalk LLU where the line ceases to be a "BT" line. O2 leave it as a "BT" (WLR), line and moving it to another WLR supplier such as Plusnet should be just an accounting change.
