I just found the following in the Plusnet T & Cs:- 16.If we provide you with a phone number, you agree to the following:
1.That the number must not be advertised in or on a BT phone box. If this happens, we may suspend or end your agreement for the service. However, we will write to you before we take this action.

But if one ports a BT number to PN can they advertise it in a phone box? It wouldn't be a number provided by PN would it?

I wonder how big a squad they have to go around checking all the BT phone boxes Well I'm sure no Plusnet customers or staff go looking at phone numbers in BT phone boxes, other than the number of the box phone itself. Never mind not being able to tell the supplier of any number so posted.
So it must be a dedicated group of people, like train-spotters.

So plusnet is not the provider for you if you are a woman or bloke providing certain *cough* services *cough*
Virgin (ADSL) => Namesco => Newnet => O2 => Plusnet => Zen => Newnet => Zen => Freeola => Vivaciti (using O2 Wholesale DSL) => Xilo (C&W Wholesale) => Xilo (O2 Wholesale)
Note: I don't lay turf for anyone. astro or otherwise, all views and opinions expressed are my own based on experience.

Oh I'm sure they don't mean *that*.
It'll be buying advertising space on the box and giving money to their parent company they object to.
Hmmm, I suppose I better add a in case it isn't obvious.

I didn't know Plusnet issued numbers starting 07.
