Plusnet and Usenet

Do Plusnet throttle Usenet?

Reason I ask, I think I will be let out of my contract early with BT infinity as they are oversubscribed in my area with no resolution.

If it's exchange contention I don't think moving to Plusnet is guaranteed to make a difference.

I agree. It doesn't look like "exchange contention".

BT Wholesale does not run its network without contention, so a chance changing provider may make no difference.

If at any time you get a significantly slower speed on usenet than you do on a speed test moving to Plusnet Unlimited would be beneficial.

My speeds are fine, but torrents are throttled unless I use a VPN.

There are currently no known capacity problems on your exchange. There may still be an exchange problem, however BT are not currently reporting that they are aware of it. Please contact Support if you are having speed problems, who can advise further.

Sorry if it's already been mentioned/asked but have you checked your exchange for contention? You can do that here: usertools.plus.net/exchanges/
