FTTC to FTTC migrations and brand of router supplied?

Was contacted by a Plusnet sales representative today after filling out a enquire form asking about if there would be any issues of migrating from another FTTC provider (in my case BT Infinity) to their Unlimited fibre package? he said the order would go through without any problems and everything should be transferred over without issues. I'd read the below thread "Fibre migration - mixed messages!" before asking the question, It's now left me more confused. So is there an issue migrating from FTTC to anther FTTC provider or not? was also told the wireless router supplied would be a Netgear, have they change recently from Technicolor?

BT wholesale to BT wholesale provider should be fine, its when its the full LLU of TalkTalk and Sky that I believe the issues exist.

It is a Technicolor TG582n

It used to be a Netgear WNR 1000.

That changed late last year or early this year to a Technicolor 582n. I'm not aware of it changing again since, and the setup guide on the website describes the 582n.

My FTTC >> FTTC migration from IDNET went without a hitch in February 2012. My phone line when on IDNet was and still is with BT.

Wonder why I was told it would be a Netgear then? , I even questioned him about this when he said it, again was told "yes it's a Netgear". Perhaps a Plusnet rep on here can enlighten me\ us?

We originally supplied a Netgear WNR1000 with the 40/2 fibre product. Someone's messed up if they've told you it would be a Netgear
