Can someone check their router to see if this is the case please.
You got to Home netwrok > wireless > then at the bottom should say configure the guest WLAN

Nothing to stop you adding one. You can add user logins at will smile.

More SSID's can be added via the telnet command line - an instruction manual is available here: www.technicolorbroadbandpartner.com/getfile.php?id=6064
with some additional pointers available here: http://npr.me.uk/telnet.html

The manual is slightly out of date but everything should work.

I don't think the O2 box does two SSIDs by default. I think it's a simple non-admin second user account. Useful to know that link though smile.

You might find this a more useful link: http://wiki.aa.org.uk/index.php/TG582N#Documents

File:TG582n CLI Guide v1.0 public.pdf is the one you want.

The link was to a 585 manual - I've given a link to the 582 manual and also some more useful information.

I'm running the O2 box with beta firmware 10.2.2.9.BF_RC3 and it has a guest WLAN that can be enabled through the GUI. I imagine this is what the OP is referring to.

It's not simply another admin/non-admin account. It is another ssid with it's associated password using a different subnet.

I'm not sure if this was available in the standard firmware although it was certainly possible to do through Telnet.

Knowing you had the correct manual for the router rather than one that might be the same?
