Rebooted openreach modem on first day - bad?

Hi,

I had plusnet FTTC installed today. I rebooted the openreach modem twice after the install (to sort out mains power routing). I checked with the openreach installer guy who said this would be fine.

However, from reading it seems that this can cause a drop in eventual sync speed when done in the first few days after installing.

Have I unnecessarily caused a drop in sync speed, and can anything be done to restore it?

Sit and wait, relax allow the blood pressure to return to normal.

It is a case of just let the automatic system run and see what it decides to do at the end.

should get away with it no problem as long as line is otherwise stable, relax. Plus on first day DLM is all but turned off.

I did the same and did not have any problems.

I was wondering about this myself for the last few days as the installer seems to have plugged the cables in via a triple eight configuration with high tariff for complexity, so thought I might switch off to sort out.
Been activated for over a week so probably ok to do this now?

I had to move the modem and that required unplugging it. How long does it take to settle (I think ADSL was about 10 days)?

Most settle within 72 hours but changes in line conditions at any time in future can impact speeds
