Partial answer on CC problems

[link to this post]

One of my banks has come back to me with the following :-

"Thank you for your message. After reviewing your account I can confirm that the transaction attempted to PlusNet Plc on 17.06.13 was declined as the CVC code was entered incorrectly, just to confirm this is the 3 digit code located on the back of the card. In addition I can also confirm that there are currently no restrictions in place on the account. I would therefore recommend to re-process this transaction with the merchant if you still require to make this purchase.

Please do not hesitate to contact us should you require further assistance."

My reply :-

"Thank you for your partial answer.

Can you please list the dates, times and reasons for rejection to this merchant as they assure me they have made several attempts."

In addition I am sure I entered the correct code myself much earlier, when the Verified by visa box came up when I first entered my card details on Plusnet's system. There's another thread on this subject that I don't think has been answered yet.

Do this mean Plusnet are re-keying the details you have entered?

You have a peculiar idea how these forums, or any forums, work.

Threads/posts are only deleted if they break the Forums rules. There is no rule "Thou must not upset members.". Just cuz members disagree is no excuse for the desructions of a thread; it's quite normal.

Anyway, who said we were upset? You were just asked a Q.

EDIT: Indeed, you started this confusion by saying in OP that there was another thread on this subject and then there wasn't.

Looking at the OP, it's difficult to ascertain what you want forum members to do about it all. Your comms with you bank are for you alone. If you believe that Plusnet have done something in error, why not get into the ticket system, get it resolved, then post back the saga, if you feel it can be of use to others.

It's not hijacking to add your own posts on the same subject to a thread. The OP does not own the thread, as you have been told about your own threads, and there is nowt to stop you joining in with your own experiences on the subject matter.

Re: Your next post: I said 'confusion'! At the time of the relevant Q to you your 1st post was ambiguous and it still is.

If the OP had not said there was another thread about the same issue, which in my opinion should have no other meaning than a thread on these forums, (unless the other location is specifically cited), I would not have queried why he started this thread.

I think I unintentionally started a mobbing.

It did start with information that in one way or another had been requested by other posters, and I for one was pleased to see that information. He is also correct to say that he was advised by staff that he could do this in these circumstances.

I agree his multiple other threads and way of going about things with great verbosity is infuriating, when his particular issues could have been settled many days ago by his doing what several Digital Care reps requested, but that is now water under the bridge. I suggest we let it all float away peacefully smile.

You seem to be missing my points. I'm obviously not explaining myself very well. Just tell me how you want it and I'll attempt to oblige.

In closing: thanks to all that have offered help and advice. I won't bother to do as requested in public in future I'll take it to PM and you can all go back to gaming and complaining about slow connections.

You wonder why? You have obviously missed a lot then because it has nothing to do with being a customer in the first place, but feel free to think that if it helps you sleep at night. It was all to do with the masses of threads, then the sheer amount of replies and the OP still not reading replies properly and instead went on and on.

Overly defensive customer no, but sure can observe stupidity when I see it.

It is not a good idea to start several threads on basically the same issue. In the same way as cross-posting between forums is a nuisance.

Even worse is to start a thread on a slightly different topic, then introduce the other problem to it, and vice versa.

No there isn't and I don't recall saying there was in the first place. Like Rob said there is just no need for the amount of threads he created, and then the amount of people including staff that tried to assist and was having none of it. If you can't see this for yourself then more fool you.

I am indeed a Plusnet Fibre customer that is indeed what it says on my profile, yet has no relevance to the posts I was making. As far as I'm aware just because someone was being stupid and I pointed it out, doesn't mean I'm instantly a defensive customer.

If you actually read the threads you would be able to see why it was frustrating in general not only to me, so please don't sit there and presume things. Regardless this is sorted now so be quiet rather than being pathetic.
