Alternatives to the TG582n - what are you using?

I'm already on my second of these in only 6 months so looking for a replacement. I'm leaning towards Gigabit Ethernet and dual band wireless.

I'm on PlusNet fibre too so it has to work with the openreach modem.

What routers have other people with fibre ended up using?

I use an ASUS RT-N66U(like a lot of other people). It's got pretty good specs(dual band/gigabit ports), you can also use third party firmware if you want to e.g. Merlin, Tomato. One other nice feature, among the many it has, is that it provides IPv6 tunnel integration built in meaning your network can run dual IPv6/IPv4.

I purchased a Netgear WNDR4500 Dual Band Wireless Gigabit Router. I need decent wireless coverage at home and the standard PN offering, while OK, does not have great reviews on the wireless side and is only 10/100 on it's wired ports. I like Netgear anyway (my various DGN834's gave great service on ADSL) and this one gets good reviews where ever you look. Amazon had it at a bargain price of £99.99 just before I moved to Fibre so dived in and purchased one. No regrets, superb performance since day one, no issues at all. So good I've forgotten its there!

Ditto. Needs the occasional reboot but by and large very happy with it.

As my new PC build has the new 802.11ac WiFi on board I'm looking at the Netgear R6300. Personally I reckon these Technicolor routers aren't worth the plastic they're made out of as the WiFi speeds we get through the property are appalling, even at less than 1m.
