Ticket #73542255 if anyone has some time while I'm here looking at it.
As discussed in Fibre section- two 80/20 lines one runs 16M upstream other only 0.9.

We've been monitoring your connection, do you currently turn your router & modem off at night?

Are you thinking of bonding, Max? That hasn't been mentioned. There could be many reasons for two distinct lines, and I'm sure PlusNet would happily supply them.
My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk | Domains,website and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - Plusnet UnLim Fibre (FTTC). Sync ~ 51.8/16.8Mbps @ 600m. - BQM

all of the IT kit was on a time switch, this has been changed (I am told) however the problem persists.
I don't know why turning off the modem at 1am would affect the upstream sync it achieved during the day, to be honest.
There are two FTTC lines feeding a load balancing / auto failover / whatever dual WAN router. It's a bit OTT and works a lot better now it is set to use the good line on WAN 2.
Today I switched modems with no benefit.

two bonded lines of FTTC could give u 160/40 but it will cost more on two line rentals plus two account on plusnet.

It's intended for resilience as much as capacity, although the same dropwire, DP, PCP, FTTC cab, Wholesaler and ISP are involved in both lines so it's not great IMHO. If one line were TT or Sky there would be more resilience, or better still one FTTC and one Cable connection.

Are u saying 120/12 with virgin media and 80/20 with plusnet will give the better outcome 200/32?

No, I think he is saying better resilience.
Cable and the telco would generally not share any infrastructure. Say, if someone drove in to the FTTC cab serving the house, if he had 2 FTTC services regardless of the supplier, they'd generally be in the same cab.
If one was virgin, it would be a different cab and quite a good chance unaffected.

This.
The overhead line from the telegraph pole carries both lines to the same cab and PCP sat on a street corner, slightly vulnerable. Both lines are carried by BT Wholesale to Plusnet, so more common points of failure. A VM cable line wouldn't share any of these features - like a gas fire keeps working when there's no electric.
