Port Forwarding problem

Hi all,

Trying to port forward my Technicolor TG582n but I get this message when I try to assign the set up to my PC. 'The port configuration of the game or application conflicts with an already assigned game & application. Assigning this game or application is not possible'

Any ideas?

Is it an FTP port forwarding rule by any chance?

Erm...Sorry, I don't know. I don't know what FTP is/means. I'm not that technically minded so you might have to bare with me. How can I find that out? I've read the link but don't really understand it.

Sorry, what port number is it you're forwarding. FTP is port 21.

It's port 8621.

What issues are you having, have you checked if uPNP is on turned on?

Yep, uPNP is on. I just get the message in my original post when I try and assign the port to my PC. 'The port configuration of the game or application conflicts with an already assigned game & application. Assigning this game or application is not possible'

Sorry, I think Chris mean what problems are you having that means a port needs opening. Depending on the service that's looking for that port, UPnP can quite often work.

Ok, not getting that message now for some reason...It looks like it's worked now but when I test to see if the port is open on google it still says it is closed. I'm pretty sure I've done it all right...
