Keep having to reboot router to get my speed back.

I have an issue. I keep losing speed on my D-Link DIR-655. I do a speedtest and it will report 54/1.6 or 55/5 or something like that every other day (it varies I think).

I have to reboot my router to get full speed back (currently 65/18 synced at 71.4/20).

Anyone know why and how I can fix it?

With Fibre speed is determined by modem not router.

Is that over a wired or wireless connection?

It might be worth trying a PPPoE connection if you're already connected over a wired connection.

The router is connecting to the VDSL modem (HG612) as PPoE.

Yes, but using a direct connection from the PC to the modem eliminates the router and will confirm whether it is the router that is the problem or something else!
