Shocking performance with this router using adsl2+

it syncs at quite a high rate but stability wise it is awful

had 13 drop outs in less than 8 hours due to the snrm being too low though on my 7800n it is rock solid

now my connection has interleaving back on !

sad as it looks a decent piece of kit !

Does NOT sound like draytek characteristics at all. Definitely give the router a chance and get in touch with Draytek UK to report this. I've had my 2820 for years and it has been nothing but superb. I also support a local business using a 2830 and it works wonders on their shocking ADSL line.

this uses the infineon chipset, i notice the snrm is 2 whereas on my 7800n it is 3.3

I am wondering if it is the snrm causing it drop out ?

Yes I would imagine that would be. Drayteks have used infineon for a good while now. definately log a call with support!

i have plugged 2850vn back in and asked for snr reset

yes tried latest firmware 3.6.6 with uk modem code

same thing happened again last night !

high packet loss, unsuable connection but it was on a 6 snrm

look at my bqm and you can see when i plugged my 7800n back in

Log a call with draytek support UK and get the ball rolling... They may well come back and say "sorry there's nothing we can do about it", but at least you tried? Often US and Asia get early versions of firmware to fix bugs and they may be able to suggest a beta version of the firmware for you.

I love my 2820Vn, it is rock solid.
