BT Sport - can Plusnet rep help?

[link to this post]

I used to subscribe to BT Sport with BT. When Plusnet offered half price BT Sport I cancelled. I re-registered for BT Sport online with Plusnet yesterday, having been told previously that reconnection would take a couple of days. I was surprised, therefore, to receive an email saying that I'd need a new Sky viewing card and it would take 5 working days to arrive. I then spoke to a customer services rep who said that he had activated BTS on my existing card and that it would take 24 hours to activate. This has not happened. Could you please look into this for me - I'm desperate to watch a programme on BTS on Friday! My username is faulknerl

May I suggest you post to Plusnet's own forums where you are more likely to find a Plusnet person.

Thanks for your suggestion. I've got through by phone now (over 20 minutes wait) and had an explanation of sorts. They now say it will take 3 days.

Good to see that the waiting time has halved to get through to CS smile

It would be more helpful if you could speed up the time it's going to take to connect me to BTS.

Yes, easy to do! There are quite a few members who sign their name above just the name of their ISP, as if they were signing a business letter/email.

I've got one of the guys on the BT Sport Team to pick this up. You should see an update to the ticket towards the end of the day today.

Sorry for the delay.

That's OK easily done, I've modified the sig a bit laugh
A neighbour a few hundred yards away signed up to BT BB and the free BT Sport in late Dec or early Jan and is still waiting for it (BT Sport) to be sorted, in fact BT CS said they would close down that new account and open another new one to be activated today?
The neighbour never lost BB or phone use during this time, will need to see if he can now get BT Sport via the Sky TV platform.

As a matter of interest did you already have a BT BB account up and running when you requested BT Sport or were you starting from scratch like my neighbour?

Just to balance things further, I signed up to BT at the end of October and got BT sport immediately via sky. It took 6+ weeks to get an openreach engineer to migrate me over to BT from sky. I was a brand new customer as both telephone line and fttc broadband were with sky.
