Morning all!!
My father in law now has a fibre cab at the bottom of his street (just 20 metres away!!!).
I can't really find much info on upgrading from PlusNet unlimited to Fibre. Anyone know how much (if anything) it is to upgrade?
Thanks

It might be an idea to see what deals are available to new customers before you do this.

That makes a difference to the monthly broadband cost on new contracts, and also there is a setup cost if not taking PN line rental.

Best to bring line rental over to Plusnet when u call up customer service and ask to put through to special deal offer for new customer and remember they only offer a great deal if u bring line rental with fibre with PN.
That's why I move my line rental over to PN from Zen along with my PN Fibre.

HI, I'd be interested to know what you got offered.
I'm in the same boat, 6 months into a 12 month contract. FTTC just been enabled. My line rental is with the post office pre paid 6 months left. Market 1 exchange.
I rang to see if they could offer a deal as it would be cheaper for me to migrate to BT, lose the prepaid line rental and pay plusnet the early termination fee than upgrade with plusnet, particularly when you can get 110 quid cashback on top.
Basically, they offered nothing on fibre broadband (80/20) only £30/month, £25 install (same as website),
They emailed an offer for broadband plus phone, that works out more expensive than the prices on the website ! (yes I did use the non low cost area prices) and they wanted 24 month contract.
Has anyone had a 80/20 broadband only offer?
Thanks,

The PlusNet web site gives a price of £22.49 for broadband only and £19.99 when taken with phone... I am also on PlusNet on a Market 1 exchange and should be getting Fibre enabled next year, I always assumed once on Fibre I would get the same prices as everyone else or is it more expensive in a Market 1 area like it is with ADSL Max ??

I'm afraid it's £7pm or £7.50pm more.
Click the "Here's the legal bit" near the bottom of this page. There's an early part that talks about £7, and near the end £7.50. I'm too tired to work out if that difference is correct, or a mistake.

Urrggh. Thanks for clearing that up. There was me thinking aside from having a much faster connection I would be able to get some of these great deals that are always advertised. So on Plusnet currently it would cost me £27.49 for the 76 Mbps option. That's too much.

Although your exchange is Market 1, is there any LLU at it? TalkTalk have enabled a lot of M1 exchanges.
That doesn't change them, but the M1/2/3 classification gets replaced soon - I forget the exact date. Things might be different then if there is LLU present.

No LLU available. Guess I should be happy my area will be getting Fibre at all, now I know that it will cost more than the advertised price I will likely go for the 38 Mbps option instead which will be plenty for my needs. That will be a big jump from 6Mbps.

My exchange is currently Market 1 and TalkTalk is available on LLU. However, that changes nothing as far as I have seen with the new classification. We will still be market 1 or its equivalent.

Cheers
I know this is going off topic but why should my exchange be more than anywhere else once it is upgraded to Fibre? I understand if it's old ADSL Max rather than ADSL2+, but if Fibre then whats the difference ?

I am on market B and I have phone line rental with anytime call plan and fibre unlimited 80/20 (both) with plusnet and I got the deal over 24 months contract as a discreetly. So, I cannot discuss with the public.
