That was about the duration for me too. Tried reconnecting several times, in hopes of being assigned a different gateway, but it wasn't having it. Was out for the full duration.

They never do, so far as I remember.

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk | Domains,site and mail hosting - Tsohost.

I suppose saying nothing is neither honest nor dishonest.

Perhaps they regard it as commercially sensitive to reveal what kind of problems they've been having.

I am much more cynical - or is that realistic - I don't think that they know why the gateways cascade fail

I don't think they ever say what a problem was do they Jim? Not beyond perhaps a "supplier cable break".
