Have peeked at speed test stats and some people are still putting in good FTTC speeds, so if there are problems it is looking most likely to be gateway/regional based.

It's looking like it something to do with Links between gateways and BTw...

Mine isn't showing latency effects. Did some gateway hopping but think I've ended up at my starting point, ptw-bng01.

Take a look at the bngs though. Three possibly nearly full, one heavily loaded, and four very light. But in several hops with waits I only ever got to a heavy or fullish one.

The system seems to be very imbalanced, as though they'd partially closed down some or stopped anyone logging into them after a disconnection.

Now an amazing test.

The indispensable man or woman passes from the scene, and what happens next is more or less the same thing as was happening before.
My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk. Domains, site and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - Plusnet UnLim Fibre (FTTC). Sync 58162/14182kbps @ 600m. - IPv4BQM IPv6BQM

My latency is ok again now was just intermittent and unusual..

Yes I looked at gateways earlier and agree the way they level out is quiet interesting but IO've been hearing many people talking about keep getting kicked from likes of PTN's...

Fingers crossed I will be staying on PTN-BNG02 for as long as possible.. they are quiet good to me, anything else is questionable.

Wish I could say the same - BQM although my speeds are what I usually see at around 37-8mpbs and 5.5-6mbps.

At the mo I'm on pcl-bng02 which is showing over 80K connections whilst the lowest pcl-ag02 has 18.7K. Wonder what the maximum/optimum loading is for the different gateways?
