Setting up a Home Hub 5

I recently bought a BT Home Hub 5 off eBay. Has anybody got any tips to help me set it up.

Also it is the Home Hub 5 A am I right in thinking this will work with fibre.

Yes type A or B works fine.
I am using type A myself.

The information in the link is incorrect. The HH5 Type A and Type B both have RED WAN ports. You can use either. I have both.

The red WAN ports on the Home Hubs 3/4/5 are for connecting to a separate modem. If you use a HH5 with the built-in modem, you connect using the grey DSL port.

Have waste paper basket handy and just simply drop it in the bin and buy a Netgear or similar router that does a better Job

I just replaced mine with a Netgear D6400 and its leagues better in every way,don't be fooled by BT Claims of the fastest wireless as this in my case anyway is not true.

Have you got around £150 to give me to buy one (because I haven't). Anyway I was after an all in one solution. Besides it's got to be better than the one Plusnet have supplied me (not that I've had any problems with that).
