However, there are two kinds of those as well. A standard one, where the cabinet work is obvious done, the master socket is sorted out if necessary and the VDSL2+ filter plate fitted, the line tested and the modem connected and tested.
The "managed" one is where the engineer also installs and tests the router.
Plusnet do the standard.
I assume you are aware that unless you have ordered the data extension kit the modem will only work from the master socket and needs to be close to it. It will not work from any extensions.
The indispensable man or woman passes from the scene, and what happens next is more or less the same thing as was happening before.
