In the middle of switching from BT -> Plusnet.

It is our switch day today, and it appears the phone line has already moved as we had a text from plusnet saying so. The Fibre is off and i've been told by BT that from their end it is cancelled.

Should the fibre be coming on today as well?

If this was a fibre->fibre transfer the fibre (VDSL, cabinet->modem) connection should not have been broken at all.
It will only be the higher level connection that may get broken.

Plusnet should set this up automatically within 1/2 hour or so of losing BT;
but sometimes that fails and you need to contact them.
Once you finally get through they will set it up instantly.

The router needs to have the right Plusnet credentials for login before it will work.
You can put those into your old BT hub (as I did for my entire stay with Plusnet), or plug in the new Plusnet router.

Thanks for that. I had a text saying a BT engineer was calling (which was obviously wrong) so i rang them and the guy got it all sorted on the phone and the fibre is now on.

You may regret it, saying that, things have been better for the last week or so.

BT sport is free on BT, so that is not really a reason for not staying with BT, price yes, BT is flipping expensive.

Its not really free as they just have more expensive prices than other providers to cover it. I would have gone with Sky but they don't offer a 80/20 service at comparable prices and plusnet allow you to use your own equipment without messing around with Wireshark.
