Support till 10pm?

For some reason I thought Plusnet had 24/7 technical support or did that stop in the ADSL days?

Anyhow I'm finding out the hard way as my connection has been down since I got in at 8pm today. Gave the router and modem a reboot and sat it out for a bit.

Now that I'm ready to wait in a queue and call, they're closed! On top of that their average time to answer calls is 25mins (according to their site)

What "awards" are they claiming to be winning exactly. It's good when it works, pants when it doesn't.

I guess I'll have to tether until they are open for support.

It happened early 2015 IIRC. That's why I left in August.

Online chat is the way now. A bit difficult if you can't get online.

Storm Katie has affected the following

Me: Did you touch the router or cables today?
Wife: no
Me: At all? hoover, cleaning ?
Wife: no I haven't
Me: Reboots router/modem
<hours later>
Me: Attempts to call plusnet - closed
Me: Moans on thinkbroadband

finally check the router and find the wires for WAN and LAN have been switched, they are both are grey so I didn't notice it in the tangled speghetti

Moral of the story is: trust NO ONE! crazy

Try colour coding the cables and the box, with coloured insulating tape.
