Over the past month or so there have been several posts on PN's forum about changed upload speed on the 40mb/s package from 20mb/s nominal to 2mb/s.. They include a thread started by me on the basis of conflicting statements from PN own staff and others as to the impact on contract renewals. It was resolved to my satisfaction by a PN guy who stated on screen that the account was currently 40/20 and that if I were to re-contract and not change package I would keep my current speeds (both up and down). Another PN staffer confirmed that I had not changed. On this basis (and a price concession) I decided not to move to an identified cheaper alternative supplier as planned, although I hadn't been comfortable with PN's new 2yr contract.
Not having received any confirmation whatsoever regarding the renewal, I have just spoken to another PN guy who now contradicts what was previously stated and says I will only get 2mb/s on this offering
This seems like an Alice-in-Wonderland world.
