A compliment for once

Inevitably most of what's posted here is about problems. So here's a compliment.

On Friday morning I found my phohne was dead. Internet OK. I'm on FTTC so entirely plausible. Did standard checks at master socket. Very dead. Not even 50V DC. Reported it online. Excahnge fault diagnosed. Fixed on Saturday. My guess is that a wire on the main distribution frame got disturbed.

So Plusnet's communication with Openreach worked just fine and OR were even working at the weekend.

Or could be slightly cycnical and suggest that the automated fault detection routines that run at all exchanges found the fault before I reported it and OR just fixed it. I'd rather take the charitable view.
