Where we live unfortunately we are too far from the cabinet to receive FTTC, therefore have been trudging along with 4MBps. This changed recently to 1MBps (sometimes less than this). 2 engineer visits later and a fault was identified on the line. Bloke said it had been fixed however it would take up to 10 days for speeds to return to normal.
4 weeks later and numerous correspondence with PlusNet and we are still receiving much slower speeds than before this fault - currently synced at 1150kbps.
I have switched the router and replaced the splitter in the hopes that was causing the issue. Unfortunately no change.
Is there anything else I can try at my end or does the fault lie with PlusNet/OpenReach?
